MOSCOW, 5 September (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik held negotiations with Acting Governor of Russia’s Khabarovsk Territory Dmitry Demeshin on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in the city of Vladivostok, the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission told BelTA.
According to the source, an enviable number of Belarusian vehicles and machines are already in use in the Russian region. Taking into account the development of copper and tin deposits, the demand for vehicles will only grow and Belarusian enterprises are ready to satisfy it. An agreement was also reached to consider buying Belarusian electric vehicles, including trams.
Cooperation in dairy production was also discussed. Since Khabarovsk Territory needs dairy products, the leadership of the Russian region expressed readiness to build dairy farms in the region using Belarusian technologies and equipment.
The parties also have mutual interest in technological independence in the field of aircraft manufacturing. The SSJ100 aircraft are assembled in Komsomolsk-on-Amur while Belarusian aircraft plants are busy substituting imported components. Direct deliveries of fish from Russia’s Far East to Belarus were also discussed.
Aleksandr Rogozhnik wished Dmitry Demeshin to win the Khabarovsk Territory governor early election on 8 September. The acting governor noted that Belarus is the first place he would love to visit if he wins the election.
BelTA reported earlier that Aleksandr Rogozhnik has already held negotiations with Governor of Russia’s Sakhalin Oblast Valery Limarenko and Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aysen Nikolayev on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in the city of Vladivostok.
