Myatlikov: Minsk is open to new ideas and projects

MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) – Minsk is a rapidly developing city, open to new ideas and projects, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov said at the International Economic Cooperation Forum that is part of the events to mark the 957th anniversary of Minsk, BelTA has learned.

“On behalf of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, I would like to welcome the participants of the forum to hospitable Minsk and express gratitude for the opportunity to discuss cooperation issues and prospects today. Statistics suggest that this international forum has already become a traditional event that brings together people interested in networking. Last year the forum was attended by representatives of 21 countries and 18 regions of Russia, today almost 30 countries and 22 regions of the Russian Federation are taking part in it. We are open to discussing business contacts and exploring new areas of cooperation. We are sincerely interested in developing trade, economic and investment cooperation, strengthening business ties, promoting goods and services to new markets,” said Mikhail Myatlikov.

He noted that international business forums, B2B events, exhibitions and fairs are held in cooperation with partners from other countries in a bid to launch joint projects. “I am confident that during this forum, foreign participants will have the opportunity to achieve meaningful results, study local companies, taste Belarusian products, visit the First National Shopping Center. I hope that each participant of the forum will find new opportunities and see  the advantages of cooperation with Minsk and the country as a whole. Our capital is a dynamically developing city, open to new ideas and projects,” the chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry noted.

The International Economic Cooperation Forum is taking place in Minsk on 13 September. It was timed to coincide with  the 957th anniversary of Minsk. Guests from Russia, far and near abroad  have been invited to the event. Attending the forum are heads of administrations and executive authorities, business associations, owners and top managers of large companies interested in establishing and expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, representatives of various organizations of Belarus, Russia, far and near abroad.

 

The forum’s program includes a plenary session and three sections: Strategic priorities of economic development; Investments, innovations and opportunities; Prospects for the development of industrial parks, technoparks and free economic zones in Russia and Belarus and their role in building economic and technological independence. There are plans to hold negotiations in the Small Talk format.

 

The forum is organized by the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Minsk City Executive Committee.
