Belarus 97th in FIFA rankings
MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) — The Belarusian national football team went up two spots to 97th in the recently published rankings of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), BelTA has learned.
Over the past two months Belarus played two matches as part of the UEFA Nations League Group C3. The Belarusian team drew with Bulgaria 0-0 and defeated Luxembourg 1-0. Following these two fixtures, Belarus rose from the 99th to the 97th place in the rankings. The country currently holds 1229.07 points. Belarus will next play Northern Ireland on 12 October and Luxembourg on 15 October.
