Belarusian Industrial and Innovation Forum kicks off in Minsk
MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) — The 27th Belarusian Industrial and Innovation Forum (BelPromInnoForum) opened in Minsk on 24 September, BelTA has learned.
BelPromInnoForum is the largest platform for discussion and demonstration of equipment and technologies for industrial production, innovations, R&D, industrial samples and services. It brings together people, ideas and technologies of related industries. The program includes the exhibition of technologies and innovations in industry TechInnoProm, the exhibition of equipment and technologies for welding and cutting Profsvarka, the exhibition of chemical and oil and gas industry and science «Chemistry. Oil and Gas», the exhibition of equipment and technologies for the production of «Polymers and Composites», the LABTech exhibition & conference of laboratory research, equipment, chemical reagents, the latest technologies of control, measurements and analytics. A forum on digital transformation of the real sector of the economy Smart Industry will be co-located with BelPromInnoForum. The 20th competition of welders will be held on the sidelines of the forum.
“This year has been declared as the Year of Quality,” Aleksandr Burak, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization, said at the opening ceremony. «Quality in Belarus is a national trend. The exhibitions within the framework of the forum demonstrate the development of our domestic industry and economy,» he said. «This is a landmark event for Belarus. The solution of any issues in industry is inextricably linked to safety and reliability indicators, and these, in turn, depend on standards and norms. Therefore, the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus is participating in this event alongside industrial giants.”
The relations between Belarus and Iran are vibrantly developing in various areas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Belarus Alireza Sanei said at the opening ceremony. “We have achieved a lot in recent years in the development of trade and economic relations: in trade, industry, agriculture,” the ambassador said. “Participation in such events will help our companies to learn more about each other, about the opportunities and potential of our countries.”
More than 130 organizations from Belarus, Russia, Iran, and China are taking part in the forum this year. They showcase equipment and technologies for industrial production, innovations and scientific and technical developments, industrial products and services. Delegations and business missions from Novosibirsk Oblast, Samara Oblast and Lipetsk Oblast are planning to attend the forum.
The business program of the forum will traditionally take center stage of discussion with the focus on the most topical issues and trends in the industrial sector. The formats will vary from plenary sessions, exchanges, symposiums and professional competitions to themed round tables, sections and reports.
