Gerasimov loses in Guangzhou Challenger opener
MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number 257 Egor Gerasimov failed to reach the Guangzhou Challenger second round, losing to World No.177 Federico Agustin Gomez of Argentina, 4-6, 5-7, in the opener, BelTA has learned.
In the doubles opener Egor Gerasimov and Mikhail Kukushkin from Kazakhstan will take on the Australian tandem of Marc Polmans and Matthew Christopher Romios.
Belarus’ world number 19 Victoria Azarenka will kick off her run at the Guadalajara Open Akron from the second round where she will face Russia’s World No.89 Kamilla Rakhimova.
The tournaments in Chin and Mexico will be over on 15 September.
