NOC President Viktor Lukashenko arrives in Russia’s Yakutsk for Children of Asia Games
MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) — President of the Belarusian National Olympic Committee Viktor Lukashenko arrived in Yakutsk for the 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games, BelTA learned from the NOC press service..
At the Platon Oyunsky International Airport of Yakutsk, Viktor Lukashenko was welcomed by President of the Children of Asia International Committee Vladimir Maksimov and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Sergey Mestnikov.
The 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games will be running in the Sakha Republic from 26 June to 6 July. Team Belarus includes 144 young athletes under 16 who will complete in 12 sports: 3×3 basketball, boxing, volleyball, judo, athletics, table tennis, swimming, shooting and others. The Belarusian national team includes champions and prize-winners of Belarus, record holders in sports in their age categories.
