Olympics 2024: Belarus’ Trushkina through to canoe sprint 200m semifinal
MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) – Belarus’ Yuliya Trushkina clocked 46.15 seconds to advance to the women’s canoe sprint 200m semifinal at the ongoing 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, BelTA has learned.
In Preliminary Heat 2 the Belarusian faced athletes from Chile, Colombia, China, the USA, Moldova and Ukraine. Yuliya Trushkina finished second, behind Nevin Harrison of the United States.
The women’s canoe sprint 200m semifinal is scheduled for 10 August. On Saturday Uladzislau Kravets will compete for a spot in the men’s kayak single 1000m final.
