Belarusian parliamentary delegation arrives in Almaty for CSTO PA meeting

 MINSK, 3 June (BelTA) — A Belarusian parliamentary delegation headed by Igor Sergeyenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, arrived in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan to participate in a meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives. 

The Council is set to consider the progress in the implementation of the decisions by the November (2023) session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and measures taken to counter challenges and threats to collective security. The MPs are also expected to adopt a CSTO PA Council statement on artificial intelligence technologies.

The MPs will also hear the reports on the results of the participation of representatives of the CSTO PA in the international observation of elections and referendums in Belarus, Russia, Serbia, and in the work of the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the 23rd OSCE PA winter meeting.
