Belarus-China cooperation hailed as example of new type of international relations

MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) – Cooperation between Belarus and the People’s Republic of China has become an example of a new type of international relations. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong made the statement during the presentation of the first volume of the book “Xi Jinping on Public Administration”. The book is in Belarusian. The presentation took place in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus alongside a symposium on public administration in China and Belarus, BelTA has learned.
Xie Xiaoyong said: “For the last 30 years China-Belarus relations have been continuously developing and have reached an all-time high of all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership. The relations have become an example of a new type of international relations.”
The ambassador continued: “Top-level visits between the two states are held increasingly frequently. Political mutual trust grows stronger all the time. Coordination in international and interregional affairs becomes tighter and tighter. Mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields advances.”
According to the diplomat, a number of initiatives and proposals put forward by China President Xi Jinping always meet a widespread response and support in Belarus starting with the Belt and Road initiative and ending with the community with a shared future for mankind and then the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative.
The ambassador also stressed that the publication of the first volume of the book “Xi Jinping on Public Administration” in Belarusian is an important result of collaboration of publishing and translation circles of Belarus and China. It is also a vivid testimony of China-Belarus humanitarian exchange, mutual education. It is an important event in the history of bilateral relations.
“I am convinced that the first volume of the book ‘Xi Jinping on Public Administration’, which has been published in Belarusian, will truly reach the hearts of everyone. The publication will allow Belarusian readers to even better learn and understand the historical depth and cultural foundation of China’s way, to understand the concept of governance used by the Communist Party of China: who the party serves and on whom it relies, and also to comprehend the Chinese wisdom for the sake of building an even more excellent world,” Xi Jinping believes.
In his opinion, the book’s presentation and the symposium have once again demonstrated the high level and distinctiveness of Chinese-Belarusian relations. “This event will surely contribute to further enhancement of mutual understanding and traditional friendship between the two nations and will definitely advance the sharing of best practices in the field of public administration between the two countries to a new, higher level,” the Chinese ambassador to Belarus said.
“New Year is coming in several days and I believe that this book is the best gift to the Belarusian nation. I hope that the second volume, the third volume, and the fourth volume of the book in Belarusian will soon become available to a large number of Belarusian readers,” Xie Xiaoyong stressed.
The ambassador wished for the relations of friendship and cooperation between China and Belarus to continue developing in a comprehensive manner for the benefit of the two states and the two nations.
