Two Belarusian judges appointed to EAEU Court
MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) – On 28 December Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No.411 on relieving Andrei Zabara of the post of deputy chairman of the Supreme Court and Dmitry Aleksandrov of the post of judge of the Supreme Court in connection with their appointment as judges of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on Belarus’ behalf, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.
The relevant decision was taken by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council held in St. Petersburg on 25 December. The decision also appointed judges from other EAEU member states. The renewed panel of judges of this interstate judicial body will start working on 1 January 2024.
