Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft ready for coupling with booster rocket, Roscosmos says

MOSCOW, 15 March (BelTA) – The Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft that will take a Belarusian woman to the International Space Station is ready to be attached to the booster rocket, BelTA learned from Roscosmos.

According to the source, the payload part with the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft has been transported for general assembly at the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Roscosmos specialists performed a set of technological operations to load and deliver the spacecraft to the Operations and Checkout Building of site 31 where the head part was prepared for coupling with a Soyuz-2.1a booster rocket.

The main crew of the Soyuz MS-25 manned spacecraft includes the Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky, the Belarusian woman participant of the space flight Marina Vasilevskaya, and the NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson. The backup crew includes the Roscosmos cosmonaut Ivan Vagner, the Belarusian woman participant of the space flight Anastasia Lenkova, and the NASA astronaut Donald Pettit. The launch of the international expedition is scheduled for 21 March.
